Feature Site: Centretown Residential

For the most part, paid on-street parking is limited to commercial and business areas. However, where otherwise quiet residential streets border these areas, their roads become part of the pervasive public parking lot. This is common in Centretown on East-West streets for several blocks on either side of Bank and Elgin. It seems a significant amount of the traffic on these streets is neither through nor local traffic but people looking for a place to leave their car while they go to the shops, restaurants, and businesses on the neighbouring main street.

How do you envisage the use of public space and streetscapes of Centretown or other central residential streets?
